In flip-book format, this bilingual Dene Yatie-English children's book contains a variety of language activities.

In a series of color photographs that show the sequence of making birch syrup, the students of Chief Sunrise Education Centre (who produce and sell the product “K’atl’odecche K’I Tú—Birch Water”) demonstrate how they “follow the footsteps of (their) elders.” In flip-book format, this bilingual Dene Yatie-English photo-essay contains a section of guide notes that lends itself to a variety of language activities. And Birch Water / K’I Tú is especially instructional for children who think that Indians don’t use plastic.
