This oversized series includes two publications to date: Historical Maps of Montana, 2004, and Historical Maps of the Northwest, 2009.  Spanning the years 1778-1898 these maps amplify our understanding of the historical eras that have shaped the region. Exploration of the maps enhances learning about Exploration And Contact; Fur Trade; Surveys and Treaties; Mining and Settlement; and Indian Wars, Railroads, and Statehood.

Annotated cartobibliographies, base maps and suggestions for activities (the Northwest set includes a CD with expanded activities and images) are included. The maps are full color and range in size from 14" x 20" to 18" x 24".
